Empowering the Differently-abled Women

Differently-abled people have been side-lined by society due their physical conditions. They even face the challenge of getting suitable jobs due to their anomalies. Official numbers show that nearly two per cent of Indian population is disabled, while non-governmental estimates claim that the number is still high. Many surveys claim that not more than three per cent of them are employed in the mainstream. Many of them are leading a livelihood by taking up menial jobs like begging, rag picking etc. Furthermore, the gaps in education have been a concern for this group of society. Economic situations in the family and physical limitations have kept the differently-abled people away from schools. This has resulted in increased dropout rates of the physically challenged. Due to the educational gaps and the stigma about the differently-abled society, the persons with disability are not making their way into the mainstream. Many organisations in India are taking steps to include the di...

Cold Drinks Brands in India-HCCB

Image
FMCG Companies in Bangalore  have a lot at stake. When it comes to manufacturing  cold drinks   brands in India , there are a few things that can make or break a product. The taste, the tangy feel they leave in one’s mouth, and the nutrition they impart to the consumer. Most consumers go for the flavour of a   cold drink , as much as they do it for the hydration.  But what most overlook are the nutritional benefits of the products that they consume. For example, HCCB’s  mango drink ,  Maaza  is made entirely from freshly sourced mango pulp. This is in no way a small feat, considering most of their competitors use fruit concentrate in their fruit drinks. FMCG  expands to Fast Moving Consumer Goods. Producing goods and getting them to the hands of the consumer at the earliest is the modus operandi of any  FMCG  company. In a company like  HCCB , where most of the products are beverages, producing and distributing those be...

Women Empowerment in India

Women have always played an important role in Indian society. Our epics are filled with stories of how gods and goddesses were worshipped with equal love and furore, and how penances were made to appease them. A sense of equality between the two sexes has pervaded throughout the country since ancient times. Even the concept of “Ardhanariswara”, the Indian version of Yin and Yang, shows how intricate and crucial this balance has been to Indian society. A balance that has been missing for the past many centuries. Many societal evils have pervaded the world we live in since medieval times, curbing women’s rights, leading to the rise of patriarchy. Women Empowerment in India  is a movement that has brought immense changes in the way women are treated in the country, by giving them the ability to stand on their own two feet.  HCCB , one of the  Top 5 FMCG companies in India has done its own bit to help with the effort. In their factory in Sanand, Gujarat, as much as 40...
